Job Description:
• Work as an SME on network security topics in support of a complex AWS and on-premises design environment. Responsibilities include:
o Support design and improvements for the environments
o Audit and analyse firewall rules and policies
o Work with Gitlab, Ansible and Python to reduce manual effort
o Research, evaluate and test new solutions and technologies to be used in the environments
o Provide technical support to both project and operational activities
o Support internal users and technical resources as required
o Create and review technical and process documentation

• Experience working on Linux operating systems (preferably Redhat)
• Analyze firewall rules and rulesets for correctness.
• Experience in understanding Networking in a complex virtualized environment.
• As a technical expert suggesting improvements, tackling complex technical issues, providing technical guidance & supporting the core team with improvement would be your daily task.
• Support all technical and security resources in planned project and reactive day-to-day tasks
• Support internal users and technical resources as required.
• Research, evaluate and test new technologies.
• Change, implement and improve technical systems and processes, software, hardware and environments to improve operation, workflow, efficiency and security.
• In this role, you work with a core team responsible for supervising the environment end to end from service operations to strategy & Continuous Service Improvement (CSI).

Required Experience:
• 10+ Years of experience with
o firewalls, firewall rule-base design and troubleshooting (Palo Alto experience preferred)
o AWS networking and security,
o Linux networking and general system administration
• Good communications skills
• Solid understanding of networking & security , both AWS and general.
• Experience in understanding Networking in a complex virtualized environment.
• Strong automation skills preferably using Python and Ansible. Experience with Gitlab

Nice to have
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD Pipelines
• Knowledge of Splunk will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience:
• AWS certifications a plus.
• Linux certifications a plus.
• Experience of working with AWS vendor support a plus.
• BS Computer Science/Software Engineering/IT or similar/equivalent is preferred.
